The first priority is to raise the capital needed and to structure and set up a business entity to handle the business affairs of the St. Christopher. Once the money is in place, we will begin the salvage process. This process involves removing the St. Christopher from the Marsh in Mississippi, and moving her to a temporary dockage. Once the St. Christopher is docked, Eric Straton, our Yacht Designer and marine Surveyor, will conduct a thorough and in-depth survey of the vessel, outlining all work which must be done to bring the ship up to safe operating standards and seaworthiness. At the same time, the ship will be completely measured for the preparation of new drawings for Coast Guard and construction use. This process could take several months. When the construction plans are completed, the vessel will be moved to a ship yard, where it will be dry-docked, all structural and steel work will be done at this time. It is anticipated this process will take approximately 45 days. The vessel will then be removed from the ship yard and taken to a wet-dock where all top-side, interior, electrical and mechanical work will be completed. In addition, all certifications and safety inspections will be completed during this phase. We anticipate all work being completed, and the vessel ready for sea within 1 years time or less. |
