This is a new section for the site
that we will "try" to keep updated with what's going on with the St.
Christopher.
December
26, 2000 - The first recovery crew reaches the St. Christopher
via the new road. Valuable items were transported from the
ship. Surveys were completed so that re-floating efforts may begin
soon.
December
2000 - Joe Hans,
the owner and operator of the salvage company that will be
leading the salvage operations, cut a road from the nearest road
through the woods to the beached St. Christopher.
September
1998 - Hurricane Georges hits the Gulf Coast. During the
storm, the St Christopher broke from its moorings and was blown 4
1/2 miles away and wound up beached in a marsh.
